In the simplest way, should use -index argument. Better option, though might be harder to implement - add an argument like -type for editor:
get-editor Foo.java -type Java //returns java editor
get-editor Foo.java -type Text //returns text editor
However not sure how easy to get a translation from editor class name to nice human-readable name
